Canning City players, coaches
and committee members attended a glittering gold
medal presentation dinner organised by Football
West last Friday night. Canning's representatives
were among 650 guests filling the Grand Ballroom
at Burwood Casino. Both Canning's Under 18s and
First teams were presented with their respective
league winner awards. Canning's First Team coach
Frank Longstaff was awarded First Division Coach
of The Year and the First Division Fairest and
Best was awarded to Daniel Trevisiol from Canning
City. Finally, the First Division Golden Boot
trophy was won by Paul Harvey from Canning City
for his season topping 23 goals, among which was
his memorable five goal haul against Forrestfield
United and hatricks against Gosnells City and
Dianella White Eagles.
